Covid-19: Ridgefield Death Toll Climbs To 30, Town Golf Course Reopens

As the death toll from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic rises to 30 in Ridgefield, the town announced its golf course will reopen.

The number of positive COVID-19 tests as of Tuesday, April 28, is 155, with the death toll reaching 30.

Health Director Ed Briggs said that all but three of the deaths are associated with senior living facilities including the Ridgefield Crossing senior care facility on Route 7.

In other news, town officials said the Ridgefield Golf Course re-opened on Monday, April 27. Play will be allowed in twosomes, there will be no carts or sharing of equipment, and all players are required to wear face coverings. 

For those who are out of work and can't afford to pay their rent, Ridgefield Responds is accepting applications for the Residential Rental Assistance program for anyone affected by COVID-19.
